Vancouver liegt direkt am Pazifischen Ozean, zwischen Meer Bergen, geschützt durch Victoria Island, die grosse Insel an der Westküste Kanadas mit ihren Urwäldern. Wenn auch nicht so sehenswert wie die europäischen Städte mit ihrer langen Geschichte, gibt es doch einige nette Plätze in und um Vancouver.
